Joshua Radoff, Principal, LEED-AP

Joshua Radoff

Josh is co-founder and Principal of YRG sustainability. He has a background in sustainable energy engineering and works at the intersection of the energy, climate, and green building fields. Josh is a regular speaker on sustainability issues and the LEED rating systems and has consulted on scores of sustainability projects for both public and private sector clients, nationally and internationally.

Josh has led a variety of sustainable development projects in the form of strategic guidance, charrette facilitation, design assistance, and technical analysis, with projects ranging from schools to office towers, affordable housing to retail, and new cities and mixed use neighborhoods. His projects have utilized and pursued certification across nearly all of the LEED rating systems.

Josh has also helped corporate and government clients account for their carbon emissions and develop climate change action plans and supported projects participating in the Clean Development Mechanism of the Kyoto Protocol, the Chicago Climate Exchange, and EPA’s Climate Leader’s program.

Josh was one of the founding directors of GreenHomeNYC, a resource and advocacy group for green building in New York City, and is currently a board member of the Colorado Chapter of the USGBC. He holds Masters’ degrees in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and Columbia University in New York.

Lauren Yarmuth, Principal, LEED-AP

Lauren Yarmuth

Lauren is co-founder and Principal of YRG sustainability. She is a recognized leader in the sustainability industry with experience enabling corporations, building owners, project teams, and communities to implement and benefit from sustainability-focused solutions.

An architect by training, Lauren is skilled at developing and managing project-specific, practical, and appropriate strategies for sustainability, and leveraging the value in the marketplace. Her project experience spans most building types, and often includes making the case for green building, developing an effective approach for sustainable performance, providing education, and technically carrying projects through to recognized successful outcomes. This process draws upon Lauren’s skills of inspiring teams, developing creative and effective paths and solutions, and bringing the right people and tools to the table at the right time.

Lauren is also a celebrated presenter, educator, and facilitator. She is known for being dynamic, engaging and effective at conveying key concepts and inspiring new perspectives. Lauren’s presentations and trainings range from multiple-day green building and LEED-focused events, to executive debriefs on the costs and benefits of green, to opportunities related to personal sustainability.

Lauren works extensively with the USGBC LEED Green Building Rating System, and has supported the application and certification of LEED for hundreds of projects nationally and internationally. She has also worked on behalf of the USGBC to conduct project certification reviews and credit interpretation (CIR) responses for LEED projects, and to develop Reference Guide content and training curriculum.

Lauren served on the USGBC national Board of Directors from 2007-2009, and is an active member of the USGBC Governance Committee. She has participated as a member of the LEED Steering Committee, the USGBC 2008 Strategic Planning Committee, Chair of the national USGBC Professional Development Committee, national USGBC Retail Development Committee, and was a founding Board Member and Chair of the Education Committee for the Colorado USGBC chapter. Lauren is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Jenny Carney, LEED-AP

Jenny Carney

Jenny is a Director at YRG. Her expertise is in the realm of building operations and upgrades, including helping companies, building owners, facility managers, and developers incorporate sustainability into all facets of their business and building practices.

Jenny heads up YRG's Business & Operations Team and manages the Chicago, Illinois office. She oversees YRG project work related to LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance (LEED-EB:O&M) certification, corporate sustainability programming and reporting, and sustainability strategy development for businesses and existing buildings. She has been extensively involved in the development of the LEED-EB:O&M Rating System. She served as the primary author of the V2.0, v2008, and v2009 Reference Guides, and currently heads up YRG's efforts conducting project certification reviews and credit interpretation responses (CIRs) for LEED-EB:O&M projects on behalf of USGBC. She sits on the USGBC-Chicago Chapter's Education & Research committee.

Prior to joining the green building community, Jenny worked as a terrestrial ecology and climate change researcher, environmental program developer and manager, and community-based environmental outreach specialist. Jenny is a LEED-NC 2.0 and LEED-EB 2.0 Accredited Professional.

Keith Amann, LEED-AP

Keith Amann

Keith is a Consultant at YRG, providing technical and project management support on a variety of green building projects, including for commercial new construction and major renovations, multi-family residential, mixed-use campus developments, hospitality, existing building operations, single family homes and farm/agricultural buildings. Specifically, Keith’s project experience includes LEED-certification consulting for LEED-NC, C&S, EB:OM, Schools and CI projects, energy studies and assessments, technical design assistance, incentive and rebate coordination, and sustainable design consulting.

Keith has been involved with the development of the new LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance Rating System and has conducted LEED trainings. Additionally, he has extensive experience working with many of the state incentive programs, including NYSERDA, LIPA, New Jersey Smart Start, among others.  Unique project experience includes writing a sustainability manual for a net-zero energy project and utilizing the LEED Campus certification approach for a mixed-use community.

Devon Bertram, LEED-AP

Devon Bertram

Devon is a Consultant at YRG with technical expertise related to green building strategies, sustainable living, and LEED certification. Devon’s experience includes project team coordination and project management for a range of project types and LEED Rating Systems, including New Construction and Major Renovations, Commercial Interiors, Retail, and Volume / Portfolio-wide applications. Her work focuses on project team guidance and education for sustainable design strategies, technical assistance and implementation support, and LEED documentation coordination and review.

Devon is also skilled at supporting organizations to adopt and benefit from sustainability initiatives. She has supported the development of sustainability-related quality assurance standards, training initiatives, corporate policies, and program implementation for large corporate clients. Currently, Devon is working with USGBC to refine the volume certification program and process, and develop its supporting documents to enable companies with large portfolios of projects to earn LEED certification for multiple buildings at a time. In addition, she has experience teaching LEED / green building trainings and workshops, and has worked extensively with green roof projects.

Devon earned a BA in Environmental Studies from Middlebury College, is a member of the USGBC Colorado Chapter and Boulder Green Building Guild, and is a LEED Accredited Professional. Prior to joining the green building community, Devon managed a gallery hosting contemporary art and antiques from the Far East.

Kelly Dykema

Kelly Dykema

Kelly is the Financial Manager at YRG where she handles all accounting and financial aspects of the company. She has been with YRG since shortly after its inception in 2006.

Kelly's experience includes managing a law firm for 16 years in California from its start as a satellite of a Detroit-based firm, through its separation to being an independent firm. She handled all aspects of the firm, including financial accounting, human resources and office management, as well as handling her own caseload as a paralegal. In 2003, she moved to Colorado and started her own business assisting companies with business operations and accounting.

In her spare time, Kelly attends and participates in various athletic activities with her family (husband and twin 9-year old boys) including alpine ski racing, triathlons and running races.

Jason Franken, LEED-AP

Jason Franken

Jason is a Consultant at YRG with experience supporting green building renovation for existing buildings and corporate sustainability strategy development.  His technical expertise includes energy and water auditing, as well as developing strategies for real-time utility monitoring systems.  He is active in the Chicago green building community and a volunteer with the USGBC Chicago Chapter’s Membership Committee and Green Schools Advocacy Committee.  Jason earned a BA from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Environmental Management from The Nicholas School at Duke University. His prior work experience includes project management, business development, event planning and employee training. He is also a LEED Accredited Professional.

Narada Golden, LEED-AP

Narada Golden

Narada is a Senior Consultant at YRG with over 9 years of experience in architectural design, construction administration, LEED project management and leadership in the field of green building.  He has worked on commercial, educational, cultural, laboratory and residential projects throughout the country and managed the LEED certification process for Clackamas High School, The Dalles Middle School, Baker Prairie Middle School and Taylor Street Development.  Narada has also lead project teams from programming and schematic design through construction by focusing on an integrated design process that included the entire team in strategic decisions.  In this process he has worked with project teams to clarify complex project decisions through life cycle cost analysis, daylighting and natural ventilation modeling, and testing constructed mock-ups of mechanical, electrical and daylighting systems.

 Narada has spoken nationally and internationally on sustainable design strategies, LEED project management and carbon planning.  He received his Bachelor in Architecture from the University of Oregon and studied architecture and design in Copenhagen, Denmark at the DIS school.  At his previous firm, Narada led the sustainability team through the development and implementation of a strategic plan that focused on carbon planning, knowledge management, and green building research. 

In addition to his architecture background, Narada has been a leader in the broader sustainability field. He is currently an Ambassador for the Cascadia Region Green Building Council, gives presentations on the Living Building Challenge, and is developing a toolkit to train a national network of Cascadia Ambassadors. Narada is also a regional presenter and trainer for the Northwest Earth Institute and has started over 100 courses on personal sustainability in Portland and Denver.  He is also trained in the Natural Step and helped to organize Natural Step trainings in Portland. In his spare time Narada enjoys cooking, basketball and exploring the Front Range.

Shannon Gray, LEED-AP

Shannon Gray

Shannon is a Consultant at YRG. She has experience providing design assistance, technical research, and project implementation to a variety of green building and green living projects. Currently, Shannon supports a number of projects pursuing LEED certification, including through LEED-ND, NC, CS, Schools and Homes. She has also contributed to the development of technical sustainability guidelines for projects nationally and internationally.

Shannon has supported a number of projects including commercial office, mixed-use, schools, hotels, senior care facilities, multifamily, and single family residences. She provides project teams with comprehensive information about sustainable sites, indoor and outdoor water efficiencies and sustainable materials selection to support effective building solutions. This has extended to working with large scale community projects to ascertain opportunities related to LEED-ND, or researching applicable stormwater treatment and natural wastewater management systems.

Shannon's prior work included working at Southface Energy Institute performing diagnostic testing for HERS ratings during home inspections and contributing to the development of a green building program for light-commercial buildings. Shannon coordinated the greening of Greenprints, an annual green building conference, including supporting it to become carbon neutral, eliminate waste and use eco-friendly goods and products. Shannon is a USGBC Emerging Green Builder and LEED AP.

Brittany Grech , LEED-AP

Brittany Grech

Brittany is an Education & Research Consultant at YRG focusing primarily on YRG’s education and training programs. Her professional experience includes marketing, business development, and green building education, including co-founding a NY based LEED exam prep education company that supported a range of clients including AIA NY’s Center for Architecture.  

Brittany has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California, with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. She currently serves as Co-Chair of Emerging Green Builders NY, a young professionals group of the Urban Green Council (U.S. Green Building Council, New York Chapter) through which she has helped to facilitate events such as the Urban Green Career Fair and Project Earth Day, an annual eco-fashion show and competition. Brittany is a LEED Accredited Professional with a specialty in building design and construction.

Daniel LeBlanc, LEED-AP

Daniel LeBlanc

Dan is a Senior Consultant at YRG with a focus on building system optimization. He has experience with energy and daylight modeling and has done extensive green materials research.  Dan is well versed in the construction process, having managed several successful residential and institutional building projects.

Currently, Dan leads design teams on a wide variety of projects through the LEED process from conceptual design through final certification. His approach includes facilitating early design meetings to foster innovative solutions for maximizing sustainability goals. Dan then works with project teams to exceed those goals and to complete the LEED certification process in an efficient manner. Dan is also experienced in providing rigorous cost analysis to examine the benefits and paybacks of selected strategies.

As a member of the LEED for Schools Colorado Advocacy Group, Dan gives presentations to school boards interested in building green. He also has experience instructing LEED trainings for design professionals. As a volunteer, Dan advises the construction committee of his local Habitat for Humanity Chapter on energy efficiency and green building.

Stephen Loppnow, LEED-AP

Stephen Loppnow

Steve is a Research Consultant at YRG.  He has experience with residential and commercial green building projects providing project support through design assistance, project team coordination, research, and credit documentation.  Steve had seven years of experience in the construction industry prior to working for YRG, and is conducting graduate research on the role of the contractor in LEED as part of a Master’s degree in Construction Management and Sustainable Building at Colorado State University. Steve attended Solar Energy International in 2002 and has past experience with residential and commercial renewable energy systems and natural homebuilding. At YRG his experience includes LEED coordination from pre-design through project close-out on a variety of public and private projects, life-cycle and payback cost estimating, design assistance, strategy implementation, product research and construction coordination. He is a member of the Colorado Chapter of the USGBC, serves on the USGBC Metro Denver Advocacy Committee and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Alice Mogck, LEED-AP

 

Alice is YRG's Office Manager. She manages the company's daily operations, coordinates internet technology, and oversees project proposals. Alice is a graduate of the University of Denver's Daniels College of Business with a BSBA in International Business. Alice brings over seven years of consulting and management experience to YRG. Her past work experience includes brokering corporate liability insurance for Fortune 100 clients and retail bank management.

Alice currently resides in Denver and spends her free time enjoying the city's 300 days per year of sunshine and teaching yoga.

Shira Norman, LEED-AP

Shira Norman

Shira is a Research Consultant at YRG focusing on sustainable operations and maintenance for existing buildings. She facilitates the LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance (LEED-EBOM) certification process through project team coordination and managing information related to sustainable products and practices. Shira contributed to the development of the new LEED for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance Reference Guide and is involved with the LEED 2009 efforts.

She recently worked on the Chicago Greenbuild 2007 Legacy Project, a LEED-CI renovation at the Chicago Center for Green Technology.  Shira's experience in the environmental field includes green building, land conservation, environmental justice work and fundraising.

Seema Pandya, LEED-AP

Seema Pandya

Seema is a Senior Consultant at YRG with expertise relating to green building strategies, design assistance, LEED coordination and documentation, project management, interior architecture, graphics, lighting design, and green design education.

Seema received her BA in Interior Design at Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design with an emphasis in green design.  Seema's professional experience includes educational support and project management for a variety of building project types focusing on setting sustainable design goals, team coordination, LEED documentation, product support, and sustainable design analysis. Seema is an active member of the green building community through the USGBC and has won various awards for sustainable design projects while having her own original designs published in academic texts.

In addition to her Interior Architecture background, Seema is a leader in the field of Fine Arts in the City of Denver. She was Co-Owner of an award winning, multifaceted, cultural arts center, Revoluciones Collective Arts Space. She currently sits on the Board of Directors for “Bands for Lands”, a non-profit organization that funds land conservation projects and supports social awareness issues by utilizing music, speakers, presentations, film and other miscellaneous media to educate inspire and motivate people to take action. Additionally, Seema has experience as a Graphic Designer, Musician and Fine Artist.

Shillpa Singh, LEED-AP

Shilpa Singh

Shillpa is a Senior Consultant at YRG. Shillpa is trained as an architect with eight years of international experience in developing and implementation of sustainable design technologies in the construction industry. As a green building consultant, Shillpa has been directly involved on numerous LEED projects in USA and India from design through documentation. Utilizing decision makings tools in daylight and energy modeling, cost-benefit analysis and life cycle cost, Shillpa contributes to the design development. She works closely with architects, engineers, contractors and funding agencies on identifying sustainable design opportunities and taking the project through LEED certification.

Previously, Shillpa has been associated with developing intelligent systems for integrating environmental technologies into the construction industry, as is demonstrated through the book she co-authored Guide to Whole Life Value in Infrastructure and Buildings while an associate scientist at Transportation Research Limited  in the United Kingdom. She has assisted in statewide energy efficiency incentive programs as at NYSERDA in Albany, NY. She has also been involved in research on international corporate policy, climate change, urban sprawl, recycling policies, restoration ecology and public health. Shillpa has an architecture degree from India and MS in Environmental Management and Policy from RPI, NY. She is an active member of USGBC national and local chapter and also a member of India Green Building Council.

Ben Stanley, LEED-AP

Ben Stanley

Ben is a Consultant at YRG with experience supporting green building design and construction and sustainable operations. Currently, Ben is working on a range of green building projects including hospitality/resort, multi-family residential, mixed-use, core & shell, schools, and commercial office spaces. His technical expertise includes green building process management, project team coordination, sustainable operations, and LEED documentation and certification support. In addition to managing the green building process for new construction projects and existing buildings, Ben’s project experience includes the development of sustainability guidelines for vertical development and co-facilitation of the US Green Building Council’s Existing Hotels Certification Initiative.

Ben is active in the green building community and serves as the Advocacy Committee Chair for the Metro Branch of the USGBC Colorado Chapter and participates in the presentation of LEED trainings with YRG. Ben’s prior work experience includes environmental education, business development, and project management. He received a BA in Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Denver and has completed his coursework in Construction Management at Colorado State University where he authored a sustainable operations guide for K-12 schools. Ben is a LEED Accredited Professional.
